Final Report of the
Keep our Vision Growing
Campaign
St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church
exists to give praise, honor, and glory
to the Triune God
and
to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ
with people in our congregation,
our community,
and the world.
St. Peter has been abundantly blessed through its building campaigns in the past years. Through the Growing Forward campaign God graciously allowed us to add a new entry to our church, convert the old parsonage into office and classroom space, and remodel the basement and kitchen. Those blessings have greatly enhanced our ability to carry out the mission stated above.
God also blessed our congregation’s vision and ability to carry out our mission through the recently finished GO & WORK campaign. Funds raised in that appeal allowed us to make important repairs at our church and school, build our second campus in Weston, and begin operations for Key to Life Christian Childcare and Community Center. Again, the blessings we have in these new facilities and ministries allow us even more opportunities to carry out our stated mission of praising God and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
There were essentially three goals for the Keep Our Vision Growing appeal. $120,000 was needed to allow our congregation to pay off short term debts and unpaid commitment to WELS and Northland Lutheran High School. Another $120,000 was needed to support the Key to Life mortgage until the childcare is able to cover the mortgage on its own. Any additional funds committed over those amounts will go directly to paying principal on our long term debt.
With the commitment phase of the Keep Our Vision Growing campaign now completed, we are happy to announce that we have received 179 total commitments totaling $334,053. The funds committed will allow us to cover our initial goals and also pay nearly $100,000 off our debt principal over the next three years. Thanks be to God for this generous response from his people.
