 In 1996 our congregation underwent an in-depth self-study. At that time, we formally adopted the following mission statement for our church:
St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church exists
to give praise, honor and glory to the Triune God
and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ
with people in our congregation, community and world.
This mission statement was founded upon these mission objectives:
- Worship, praise, honor and glorify the Triune God
- Uphold and testify to the truth of God as fully revealed in the inspired, inerrant, infallible Holy Scriptures.
- Provide for the spiritual growth of our children and adults
- Equip, train, and motivate our members to lead a godly life, use their time, talents, and treasures in the work of God’s kingdom, and share the good news of the Gospel with others
- Provide Christ-centered support for our youth and adults living in a worldly environment
- Be an encouraging, joyful, optimistic family of God
- Offer opportunities for Christian fellowship
We take this mission very seriously. The members of St. Peter Lutheran are eager to greet all guests and visitors in the spirit of Christian love. If you need a place to worship your Savior, to study God’s unfailing Word, to talk to a Christian pastor, to have fellowship with other believers, or to lend a helping hand to others, our doors are open wide!
