Lent Is Almost HereAsh Wednesday is February 10th, 2016

Our special services are complete with Holy Communion at 5:00 & 7:00 PM

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent
as we consider the price Jesus willingly paid for our forgiveness and salvation.

 The Outreach Ministry Board of St. Peter Congregaqtion,
together with our Worship Encouragement Committee
will co-host a spaghetti and meatball dinner between services
in the lower level Ministry Center of church.
While there is no charge for the meal, your free will offerings will help
with the purchase of supplies and materials to carry out their ministries.


SPECIAL NOTE: Throughout the Lenten Season, Thursday Worship is at 5:00 and 7PM
[The exception to this is Ash Wednesday; no service on Thursday that week]

 

Easter Sunday is March 27, 2016
Worship with us at 6:30, 8:30 and 10:30 AM

  • Sunday JAM ... for preschoolers age 3 through 6th grade children and youth
  • Teen Class ... includes Grades 7th through 10th
  • Adult Bible Classes ... High School Juniors & Seniors join the class of their choice with the Adults

New Adult Bible Classes Between Services
We offer the following adult studies between services in the lower level of the Ministry Center:

 

  • Adult Class #1:  Christians in Conflict.....A Bible Study About Peacemaking

Pastor Davidson teaches this study that looks at the causes for conflict.
Participants examine typical responses to conflict and how the Biblical principles of--
confession, absolution, and forgiveness are all key components to reconciliation.           (Main room, lower level)

  • Adult Class #2:  Come Worship Christ
As part of St Peter’s worship renewal emphasis, Pastor Mahnke is leading a twelve week video
based study on worship that addresses the basics, patterns and music of worship.  Topics will include:
focus on “The Church Year,” “The Liturgy,” etc.                                                             (Kitchen area, lower level)
  • Teen Class:  Family Issues:  “Making the Recipe Word”  (Blended families)                                    (Fireside Room)
  •  
  • Friendship Evangelism Opportunity – Pastor Mahnke leads “Life’s Big Questions” Bible Information Classes: 
  • One class is now being held on Monday evenings, 6:30-7:45 pm. 
  • Another class will be held on six Saturday mornings, 9:15 am-12 noon, in January, February, March and April.
