St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church

Lutheran Women's Missionary Society (LWMS) Fall Rally
Please consider being part of the Fall Rally that St. Peter is hosting on Saturday, October 3rd from 9-2:30. The speaker will be Rev. Larry Schlomer, Administrator for World Missions, on the topic “Our Worldwide Mission.”  We encourage all our members – men and women alike – to attend the fall rally of the Wisconsin River Valley Chapter of the L.W.M.S.  This is a great opportunity to learn about LWMS and support the mission efforts of the Wisconsin Synod.

Childcare is available, however advance reservations are required. Contact the church office at (715) 359-2829 with number and ages of children. Lunch will be provided. Registration for adults is $3.00.

If you can help, there is a sign-up sheet in the Information Center. We will appreciate your help as we are anticipating over 125-150 people. Direct questions to Gayl Johnson at 715-212-9462.

New Adult Bible Classes Between ServicesWe offer the following 10 week adult studies between services in the lower level of the Ministry Center:

  • Bible Symbols – The Scriptures present many images, concepts, even numbers which sometimes make no sense.  Yet God through these symbols is compelling us to dig deeper into his truths and find real meaning.  This Bible study, led by Pastor Davidson, aims to alleviate the confusion surrounding symbolism in God's Word.
  • Assessing & Adjusting Our St. Peter Ministry In the Guiding Light of God’s Word – As a trained counselor for our Synod’s Commission on Congregational Counseling, Pastor Mahnke will be using this comprehensive study to help congregations assess and then adjust their ministry and programs in the guiding light of God’s Word.  This study looks at the many components of church life:  worship, outreach, discipleship, youth ministry, leadership and facility.  Practical input and feedback from class participants will be shared with the Coordinating Council and ministry boards of St. Peter so that our ministry and programs are scripturally grounded and focused.
